JOSEY HINDRIX
Josey Hindrix was born in the coastal town of Ostend (Belgium). In his early years, Hindrix was exposed to a wide range of musical genres and had a particular fondness for bands like The Beatles and The Shadows. As he entered his teenage years, he was heavily influenced by Brit Rock bands like The Kinks and The Who. However, it wasn't until he was introduced to hard rock bands like Deep Purple, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Rainbow and Whitesnake that he discovered his true calling. He was particularly drawn to the exceptional guitar skills of Ritchie Blackmore and the powerful vocals of Ian Gillan, David Coverdale and Ronnie James Dio.
At the age of 15, Hindrix started playing guitar and quickly found a passion for performing live. He played in various local bands as rhythm guitarist (Highway 61) or guitarist/vocalist (Firehorse). After he parted ways with Firehorse, Hindrix took a break from music but eventually returned to the scene in the late 1990s when he joined Edge of Eternity (later called Hangmanz Jury) as the lead guitarist, and later on lead vocalist. Following the breakup of Hangmanz Jury, Hindrix was part of several cover bands where he honed his vocal skills, and eventually he became the lead vocalist HeartAttack. During a concert of the latter band, he was discovered and asked to audition for Ostrogoth, where he has been the lead singer since 2012. More recently, he joined THRONE OF THORNS as lead vocalist. Hindrix's dynamic stage presence and powerful vocals have made him a beloved figure in the Belgian heavy metal scene. His passion for music and dedication to his craft have earned him respect and admiration among fans and fellow musicians alike. |
